Blue Pop

So, became sort of pop-arty, but not completely flat color. Like a pop art hybrid. Blue is really my very favorite color.

Coloring exercise

So I wanted to get back into coloring again and I was perusing my reference pics and came across a photo of one of my favorite actors and decided why not? I also need to practice drawing guys more anyway. I don't know if it looks like him, but it's supposed to be Robert Downey Jr. ( ._.)

Jackie's debut at Paradise Perks in Irvine!

 I really liked how this sketch turned out. I love Jackie's profile, she has a wonderful and unique look. I'll need to clean this one up, and likely make it more Art Nouveau.

 I really like how stunning her back is; Jackie strikes a sharp pose.

 This was an impression of her dancing, it may not look exactly like her, but I thought the feeling was similar.

And Jonathan. You just had to keep making jokes about being drawn, so there. Granted it's not perfect, but I did what I could with little space and much darkness.

Return of Boots! And other drawings.

 So it's been awhile since I've drawn Boots; he's a character I created a few years back in loving memory of my bff's cat, but younger and cuter. I need to explore his personality more. I really love drawing him.

Just had an urge to try and draw tiny elven dancers...don't know why. Just trying an idea out. I imagine them as being small like fairies; then again I suppose they could be bigger, but that would change the dynamic of how they currently look, I think I'd need to make them more elongated or otherwise just more mature looking.

"Playtime" concept

I had this image pop into my head of a cute scene with some frolicking and a grassy field, etc. So I started this little piece. I'll probably color it sometime soon, but wanted to get it down before I forget it. I don't know, are the kids cute enough? They can probably be cuter huh? You can never have enough cute!

Happy Halloween!

So got a new drawing tablet and decided to mess around with it, though nothing that detailed, I figured might as well do something festive since I didn't get to actually celebrate Halloween at all. Happy all Hallows Eve!

Naga glory

I had sketched this pose as a thumbnail and really liked how it turned out, so I penciled in a larger line drawing for so I can scan in and clean up (I was going for a slightly Mucha/Clamp-esque feel to it, and I'll admit there's some belly dancing influence as well--love those hip scarves!).

Until I can get a better drawing tablet I'll keep a scanned version and play around with a hand-colored copy as well. Thinking Copic markers or watercolor. Maybe even color pencil. I'm really liking this character.

Still working on some BG's for her and some other characters involved in her story, but they're coming along.
